Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to nearby Little Green Lake. So many enjoyable things in the Absaroka Range, just tremendous. This is a good area for folks who like lakes. Astral Lake is a lake in the neighborhood, and Star Lake is a delightful site to visit for more than one day, Colter Campground is a delightful site to camp nearby. You'll       need more than a day to discover everything Star Lake has to offer, you can camp at Soda Butte Campground, and you can have a perfect hiking adventure along the Pilot Creek Trail. This lake is so wonderful. In case you don’t mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Stillwater River; hiking along the Republic Trail is pleasant fun. One of the overriding marks of the surroundings of Star Lake is Mount Fox, and Clarks Fork Yellowstone is a wonderful                  whitewater spot nearby. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing things in the Absaroka Range. Dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Motel Big Timber; while you're here you can take a hike along the North Crandall Trail. The yearly precipitation here at Star Lake is about average; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month is October. Don't you try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a wonderful time here at Star Lake. Zimmer Creek flows through this neighborhood, and you simply have to take a look at Alp Rock if you're here at Star Lake. This lake is located in the wonderful Absaroka Range. For the period of the months of summer, highs frequently are in the 70's at Star Lake while night lows are mostly in the 30's.
