All the outdoors fun stuff in the Absaroka Range will keep you coming back many times. You should undeniably explore Alp Rock while you're here at Star Lake. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Star Lake has to offer, you can camp at Soda Butte Campground. This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Stillwater River is       so much fun. A lake close by is Little Green Lake, and there's nice hiking along the North Crandall Trail. Stay the night at Colter Campground; Astral Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop by. Yeah, come up here to the Absaroka Range for a perfect time. The top of Mount Fox is easily made out from Star Lake; do stop by Zimmer Creek while you're here at Star Lake. This lake is so wonderful. There are perfect locations to explore along the Republic Trail,                  and whitewater paddling is wonderful on Clarks Fork Yellowstone. That right there is lots already, but it keeps on going; Star Lake has it all. Don't leave Star Lake without first going for a hike along the Pilot Creek Trail, and dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Big Timber. The warmest time of the year at Star Lake comes with high temperatures in the 70's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 30's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Star Lake temperatures plunge to the 0's.
