If you want a great time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Stanton Lake. You could also go to Halfmoon Lake while you're here at Stanton Lake; it's close by; going for a hike on the Grant Ridge Trail is always a perfect adventure. Why not camp at Murray Bay Campground if you're here at Stanton Lake, and there are some great whitewater spots on Flathead River - Middle Fork. This lake is so wonderful. A       quick tour to Coal Creek in close proximity to Stanton Lake is a tremendous idea; if you came for an overnight stay Eld Island Campground is a delightful site to camp. From a rainfall point of view Stanton Lake is a relatively normal place; most of the snow falls through December while April is the month with the least amount of precipitation. High temperatures at Stanton Lake through the warm days of summer are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it drops                  down to the 40's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 20's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Stanton Lake temperatures descend to the 10's. You absolutely have to adore the Lewis Range. If you need a spot to stay Bridge Street Cottages is a great choice; you can go for a hike on the Boundary Trail. A lake close by is Dickey Lake, and great hiking is available along the Threetops Trail. Man, is there loads of amusing stuff to do in the Lewis Range. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Bear Creek; if you're looking for a good spree, Glacier National Park is quite near. This lake is so wonderful.
