If you want a fine time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Lewis Range. Whitewater paddling is delightful on Bear Creek. For the duration of the summer months highs here at Stanton Lake get into the       70's while night lows are commonly in the 40's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Stanton Lake are in the 10's. The yearly rainfall here at Stanton Lake is about average; during the month of December you get the most snow around here while April is the month with the least amount of precipitation. The Grant Ridge Trail is a wonderful hiking trail in the vicinity of Stanton Lake, and in case you don’t have                  a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Flathead River - Middle Fork. This lake is one of the great places here in the Lewis Range. There's so much to do here at Stanton Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Eld Island Campground is a good location for that, and there is a tremendous hiking trail close by called the Boundary Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Threetops Trail is always a nice adventure, and you can stay the night at Murray Bay Campground. Yep, outdoors entertaining things truly is bountiful here in the Lewis Range.
