there is a good hiking trail close by called the Backside Trail. This lake is so wonderful. It's a splendid idea to pop by Tenmile Creek, it's next to Stansfield Lake. Near Stansfield Lake you find the Prospect Shafts Trail which
is a good hiking trail; at Stansfield Lake you always meet someone from Helena. The 1906 Trail is a wonderful hiking trail in close proximity to Stansfield Lake, and a wonderful place to camp here at Stansfield Lake is Helena Campground.
