This lake is located in the wonderful Pioneer Mountains. For the period of the days of summer at Squaw Lake temperatures are frequently in the 70's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 30's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's; winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Squaw Lake. Gotta ski! Discovery Ski is a brilliant spot to do that. This lake is so wonderful. Go       for a hike on the Alder Creek Trail, and Squaw Lake is a pleasant place to camp, Sportmans Campground is a pleasant place. There are wonderful spots to discover along the Hiline Trail, and the sight of wonderful Shaw Mountain is tremendous. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors exciting stuff the Pioneer Mountains has to offer. Good hiking is available along the Copper Creek Trail; Fishtrap Campground is a pleasant campground here.
