The Columbia Mountain Trail is a great hiking trail near Spoon Lake; Cedar Lake is a nearby lake that you could check out. This lake is so wonderful. Here at Spoon Lake there are plenty of people from Kalispell, and dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Motel - Glacier Park/Columbia Falls. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the       Howe Lake Trail is always a magnificent adventure, and Glacier National Park is a fine local destination. Summertime highs at Spoon Lake generally tend to be in the 70's; the night is quite chillier of course, commonly in the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's, and nighttime lows at Spoon Lake during the winter mostly plunge into the 0's. Around Spoon Lake you don’t get a lot of precipitation; December is the wettest month                  with most snow, and April on the other hand is the driest. Now, you may think that's plenty but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here at Spoon Lake. Camping is available at Glacier Mountain Shadows Resort, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Big Mountain if you're here. There is a glorious hiking trail right next door to Spoon Lake called the Doris Creek Trail, and a fine spot to camp here at Spoon Lake is LaSalle RV Park and Campground. Whitewater paddling is delightful on Flathead River - Middle Fork.
