It's always fun to stop by Spogen Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Head up to Red Lodge Mountain and strap some skis to your feet. You can run the rapids of Clarks Fork Yellowstone River next to Spogen Lake; Park Rapids is a magnificent local attraction. This lake is so wonderful. A perfect spot to camp here at Spogen Lake is Lake Creek Campground, and you're perhaps addicted to lakes, Alp Lake is one of those nearby.

| | Spogen Lake is peerless! After a long day outdoors Cary Inn is a wonderful spot to spend a night or two, and a pleasant place for whitewater paddling is Clarks Fork Yellowstone River. Just can't get enough of the Absaroka Range. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Clay Butte Trail, and why not check out nearby Lake Creek since you're here at Spogen Lake. Dry warm beds await you at Big Moose Resort; hiking is a popular thing to do around Spogen Lake; Granite Loop Trail is a good local
trail. Spogen Lake is located in the Absaroka Range. From a precipitation point of view Spogen Lake is a quite typical location; June is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month of the year is October.
At Spogen
Lake throughout the warm days of summer highs are in the 70's, and the nighttime is somewhat colder of course, typically in the 30's. High temperatures throughout the wintertime are normally in the 20's, and all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Spogen Lake temperatures drop to the 0's.
