For the period of the warm months, highs typically are in the 70's at Split Rock Lake. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's with temperatures at Split Rock Lake dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. Split Rock Lake is pretty dry ordinarily; the month of May is the       wettest with most of the rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Split Rock Lake without first going for a hike along the South Fork Teton-Blacktail National Recreation Trail; perhaps you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Pishkun Reservoir is just a very short distance away. You can run the rapids of Falls Creek near Split Rock Lake, and Home Gulch Campground is a tremendous local campground. Be careful                  coming to Split Rock Lake, you might not ever wanna go back home again. Why not camp at Wagons West Campground if you're here at Split Rock Lake, and pleasant water scenery is available at Split Rock Lake Dam right next door to Split Rock Lake.
