Speck Lake is a lake worth visiting. Around Speck Lake you don’t get a lot of precipitation; June is the month that gets the most rain while January is mostly the driest month. Skiing at Big Sky is one of those things you just ought to do; after a long day outdoors Hebgan Lake Mountain Inn is a wonderful place to spend a night or two. Hiking along the Lightning Creek Trail is delightful fun.

For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 30's, and throughout the dark hours in the winter at Speck Lake temperatures sink to the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. the rapids of Madison River close to Speck Lake; going for a hike along the Wapiti Creek Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region.
A great place to camp here at Speck Lake is Rock Creek Campground, and West
Fork Cabins & Rv is a splendid location to get some rest. Speck Lake is right by the Cutoff Trail, and camping is available at Beaver Creek Campground 1.
