    Many people like to go to Spanish Lakes. Stay the night at Elkhorn, and after a long day outdoors Arrowhead is a good site to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. The Lightning Creek Trail offers hiking at its best; stunning scenery and glorious skiing is what you get at Big Sky. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Moonlight Basin if you're here, and lakes are such peaceful places, why not visit Beehive Lake.
Around Spanish Lakes
 
   you don’t get a lot of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is May while February is commonly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Beaverhead is a nice place to get some rest; hiking is a popular thing to do around Spanish Lakes; Eldridge Trail is a brilliant local trail. Now, you may believe that's a lot but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here at Spanish Lakes. Castle Rock Inn is a splendid campground nearby, and there are some  
               magnificent whitewater spots on Gallatin River.
The overriding mark in the neighborhood is the Spanish Peaks; you'll come across a wonderful lake called Hermit Lake. Summertime highs at Spanish Lakes typically tend to be in the 80's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 50's. Throughout the wintertime the highs are generally in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Spanish Lakes are in the 10's. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Wapiti Creek Trail.
Blaze Mountain is a peak you can see from Spanish Lakes; the fine folks of Bozeman like to hang out close by.
