The beauty of South One Horse Lake attracts many people from all around. This lake is so wonderful. There's always Duffy Lake Dam to stop at near South One Horse Lake; South One Horse Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Fort Fizzle Campground is a good local campground. Here at South One Horse Lake you can make out Lolo Peak, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Mill Creek Trail. This place, the Bitterroot Range, has so much outdoors

| | cool stuff. A tremendous place to camp here at South One Horse Lake is Charles Waters Memorial Campground, and Kootenai Creek is a splendid whitewater spot nearby.

Carlton Lake; a great swamp in the neighborhood of South One Horse Lake is Meadow Creek. South One Horse Lake is a location that is rather waterless regularly; May is the wettest month with most rain while October is the month with
the least amount of precipitation.
Through the months of summer highs here at South One Horse Lake reach the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and after
the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at South One Horse Lake descend into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. In case you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Mill Creek. This
lake is one of the great places here in the Bitterroot Range.
So many fun things to do at South One Horse Lake, so little time. Take a hike on the Carlton Lake Trail, and dry warm beds await you at Lolo-Days Inn Missoula South/Blue Mountain.
