Do stop by South Fork Lakes while you're in this part of Montana. Be careful coming to the Bitterroot Range, you might not ever want to return home again. There are some good whitewater spots on White Sand Creek, and don't leave South Fork Lakes without first going for a hike along the Saint Mary Peak Trail. At South Fork Lakes throughout the warmest time of the year highs are in the 80's. All through the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 40's. Daytime highs

That right there is loads of exciting things already but it goes on, the Bitterroot Range has it all. There's so much to do here at South Fork Lakes that you need to camp here for a while, Charles Waters Memorial Campground is a glorious site for that.

best. South Fork Lakes is a beautiful lake in the Bitterroot Range.
So much exciting stuff to do here at South Fork Lakes, too brilliant to be true. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Brushy Fork; Days Inn is a magnificent location
to get some rest. Bass Peak is wonderful and can be seen from South Fork Lakes; if you need a spot to stay Lolo Hot Springs Mountain is a great choice. This lake is so wonderful. South Fork Lakes is not the only spot nearby, Middle Fork Lakes is a nearby lake, and there's great hiking along the Sweeney Ridge Trail.
