Go to Lake Solitude if you want to go to a nice lake. This is no place for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. A charming lake like Hermit Lake close to Lake Solitude is a great place to take a look at, and Lake Solitude lays in the shadow of the Spanish Peaks. Madison River is a brilliant whitewater spot near Lake Solitude, and do stop at Upper Falls Creek Lake, it's a striking lake. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Lake Solitude you can

| | take a hike along the Eldridge Trail, and if you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Gallatin River. One of the main highlights of the surroundings of Lake Solitude is Spanish Peaks; a day on the slopes of Big Sky is just what you need. highs are generally in the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 30's while Lake Solitude nighttime low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 10's.
Lake Solitude gets very little precipitation; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain; February on the other hand is the driest. If the weather is great here at Lake Solitude, you can go for a hike along the Lightning Creek Trail.
