This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Baptiste Lookout Trail is perfect fun, and whitewater paddling is good on Flathead River - Middle Fork. There's so much to do here at Soldier Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Crossover Campground is a good site for that, and needless
to say Slide Creek flows through this vicinity. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Soldier Lake; during summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and night lows during the wintertime
for Soldier Lake tend to be in the 10's. And if that's not sufficient there's a load more exciting things to do in the Lewis Range. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Soldier Lake has to offer, you can camp at Peters Creek Campground, and the summit of Soldier Mountain can be observed from Soldier Lake.
