Through the warm months here at Soldier Lake, high temperatures regularly get into the 70's. Summer nighttime lows fall down to the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's, and night lows in the 10's for Soldier Lake. This lake is so wonderful. The Baptiste Lookout Trail offers hiking at its best. Not far from Soldier       Lake, you'll come across Crevice Lake which is a striking lake, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Soldier Lake; Battery Mountain Trail is a wonderful local trail. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Soldier Lake has to offer, you can camp at Crossover Campground; there's whitewater on Flathead River - Middle Fork for all you adrenaline kick people. Soldier Lake is a good spot of common precipitation; the wettest month of the year is                  generally December, that's the one that snows the most while April is typically the driest month. Soldier Mountain is a peak you can catch a glimpse of from Soldier Lake, and Slide Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth a visit. And that's not all you can do here at Soldier Lake. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at nearby Rock Lake, and Soldier Lake is right by the Dirtyface-Logan Creek Trail. Now, you may believe that's heaps but there's even more exciting things to do here in the Lewis Range. Stay the night at Peters Creek Campground, and if you need a spot to stay Bridge Street Cottages is a pleasant choice. This lake is so wonderful. Don't miss out on a spree to Glacier National Park since you're here at Soldier Lake, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Bear Creek.
