Go to Smith Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. Camping is available at Bean Lake Campground; there is a wonderful hiking trail close by called the Smith Creek Trail. Throughout the long summer days at Smith Lake highs are ordinarily in the 70's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. A fine location for whitewater paddling close to Smith Lake is Dearborn River, and the West Falls Trail is a delightful hiking trail close by.
