Camping is available at Bean Lake Campground; there is a wonderful hiking trail close by called the Smith Creek Trail. Throughout the long summer days at Smith Lake highs are ordinarily in the 70's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. For the duration of the wintertime the highs are frequently in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Smith Lake. Get your pulse rate up on       the great whitewater of Falls Creek, and there's some flowing water close by, Goss Creek is a stream you can have a look at during your stay. This lake is so wonderful. A fine location for whitewater paddling close to Smith Lake is Dearborn River, and the West Falls Trail is a delightful hiking trail close by. At Smith Lake you don’t see much precipitation; throughout May this area sees the most rain while February is regularly the driest month. So much                  exciting stuff to do here at Smith Lake, too magnificent to be true. On a beautiful day you obtain a view of Haystack Butte from Smith Lake; the cheerful folks of Helena like to hang out nearby.
