The beauty of Smith Lake is reason enough to stop by. Not much rain falls here at Smith Lake; of all the months in a year June is the one with the most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. Brush Bay is right next door to Smith Lake and is a fine location to go to, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Micho Trail. A quick trip to Bear Creek right next door to Smith Lake is a delightful idea, and there's glorious hiking along the Whitefish

All through the warm days of summer, highs usually are in the 80's at Smith Lake while overnight lows are frequently in the 40's. During the winter this place gets highs in the 20's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Smith Lake. That right there is loads already, but it continues; Smith Lake has it all. Les Mason Campground is a perfect campground nearby, and there's whitewater on Flathead River - Middle
Fork for all you thrill seekers. This lake is so wonderful. You could also stop at Spencer Lake if you're here at Smith Lake; it's nearby; there are some great whitewater spots on Stillwater River. This lake is so wonderful. If you
need a site to stay Kristianna Mountain Homes is a wonderful choice, and you can stay the night at Moose Lake Campground.
Gotta ski! Big Mountain is a splendid site to do that, and enjoy a round of golf at Whitefish Lake Golf Club.
