Slide Lake is one of the lakes here in the Absaroka Range. It is very dried out here at Slide Lake generally; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain while February is generally the driest month. And if that's not enough there's a lot more fun stuff to do in the Absaroka Range. Don't leave Slide Lake without first checking out Eagle Nest Rock, and why not camp at Rocky       Mountain Campground since you're here at Slide Lake. Elk Plaza is a beautiful site any time of year, and close by you find the Sepulcher Loop Trail which is a fine hiking trail. If only every place had this much outdoors amusing stuff, what a great world it would be. A spree to Boiling River will fill your soul with wonderful feelings, and you can catch a sight of Capitol Hill from Slide Lake. Eagle Creek Campground is a brilliant local campground; you can run                  the rapids of Mulherin Creek. This lake is so wonderful. There is a tremendous hiking trail near Slide Lake called the Beaver Lakes Loop Trail; while you're here, you could also explore stunning Beaver Ponds. This lake is so wonderful. A great nearby hotel is Comfort Inn Yellowstone North, and nearby you discover Gardner Canyon which is a pleasant place to take a look at. Now, you may feel that's a load but there's even more cool stuff to do here in the Absaroka Range. A brilliant location for whitewater paddling in the neighborhood of Slide Lake is Yellowstone River, and getting to Eagle Creek from Slide Lake is trouble-free. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Slide Lake. Summer nighttime lows descend down to the 50's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Slide Lake are in the 10's.
