If you like lakes and you're in this part of Montana you can check out Slide Lake. This lake is so wonderful. You get a pleasant sight of Capitol Hill from Slide Lake; if you need a place to stay Super 8 Motel - Gardiner is a glorious choice. You feel that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Rocky Mountain Campground is a good campground nearby, and going for a hike on the Beaver Lakes Loop Trail is always a nice adventure. This lake is so wonderful. Eagle Nest Rock

Slide Lake night low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 10's. Slide Lake is usually a pretty dried out place; the wettest month of the year is typically May, that's the one that rains the most; February is when it's the
driest. The beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Boiling River, and there are fine places to discover along the Sepulcher Loop Trail. Gardner Canyon is a tremendous spot to check out in the neighborhood of Slide Lake, and swing by Eagle Creek it's a splendid location to take a look at.
