Les Mason Campground is a pleasant campground nearby; get yourself into a kayak and hit Stillwater River. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Flathead River - Middle Fork offers some glorious whitewater, and dry warm beds await you at Grouse Mountain Lodge. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Skyles Lake. When the night sets in temperatures       sink down into the 40's. For the period of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's while Skyles Lake nighttime low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 10's. Hit the slopes at Blacktail Mountain around here; if you need a site to stay Bay Point On The Lake is a nice choice. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Micho Trail, and Beaver Lake is a pleasant lake nearby. Skyles Lake is mostly a pretty arid place; of all the months in a                  year June is the one with the most rain; October is the month with the least moisture. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Skyles Lake. Stay the night at Whitefish RV Park, and there's glorious hiking along the Danny on Memorial National Recreation Trail. Be careful coming to Skyles Lake, you might not ever want to return home again. While you're here at Skyles Lake you must take a look at Beaver Bay, and naturally Beaver Creek flows through this region. Enjoy a round of golf at Whitefish Lake Golf Club not far from Skyles Lake. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Big Mountain, and Glacier National Park is a brilliant local destination. This lake is so wonderful.
