A splendid location to camp here at Skinny Reservoir is Red Shale Campground, and Fletcher Spring is a stunning spot to stop at while you're at Skinny Reservoir. At Skinny Reservoir all through the summer highs are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Skinny Reservoir.
