Summertime highs at Sioux Charley Lake ordinarily tend to be in the 80's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Sioux Charley Lake are in the 10's. If you need a place to stay Super 8 Big Timber is a great choice; Cathedral Point is not far at all. Stillwater       River has a perfect whitewater paddling spot close by, and there's good hiking along the Lodgepole Trail. This is no spot for people who don’t like to have a good time. A lake close by is Cataract Lake, and in the event that you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Stillwater River. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Sioux Charley Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Colter Campground is a good spot                  for that, and the Black Butte Trail offers hiking at its best. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Absaroka Range. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Sioux Charley Lake has to offer, you can camp at Woodbine Campground, and Sioux Charley Lake is right by the Republic Trail. All the outdoors enjoyable things in the Absaroka Range will keep you coming back time and again. Sioux Charley Lake is not the only place nearby, Mountain View Lake is a nearby lake; hey, Falls Creek is a fine local stream.
