This lake is so wonderful. There are other places here than Silver Tarn, for example Jasper Lake, and there are pleasant places to explore along the Beauty Lake Trail. And that's not all you can do here at Silver Tarn. You can run the rapids of Rosebud Creek - East near Silver Tarn; Silver Tarn is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Beartooth Lake       Campground is a magnificent local campground. If the weather is wonderful, you acquire a delightful sight of Beartooth Mountain from Silver Tarn, and going for a hike on the Beartooth Highlakes Trail is always a good adventure. But wait, there's more exciting things to do in the Absaroka Range. Grasshopper Glacier is something you shouldn't miss if you're here at Silver Tarn, and Clarks Fork Yellowstone River is a perfect whitewater spot close by. This lake                  is so wonderful. Gotta ski! Red Lodge Mountain is a pleasant location to do that. Having a good time in the Absaroka Range is painless. Yodeler Motel is a great site to get some rest; you can go for a hike on the Upper Granite Loop Trail. Throughout the summer months here at Silver Tarn, high temperatures commonly get into the 70's with overnight lows in the 30's. All through the winter highs are in the 20's; overnight lows in the 0's for Silver Tarn.
