Silver Run Lakes is not the only place nearby, Lake Gertrude is a nearby lake,       and don't leave Silver Run Lakes without first going for a hike along the Beauty Lake Trail. These mountains rock, just look at all the entertaining stuff to do in the Absaroka Range. If you come at the right time of year, Rosebud Creek - East offers some wonderful whitewater, and what would winter be without some skiing at Red Lodge Mountain. Silver Run Lakes is one of the lakes here in the Absaroka Range. You could also take a look at Timberline Lake                  if you're here at Silver Run Lakes; it's nearby, and camping is available at Nelson Campground. This lake is so wonderful. There are some nice whitewater spots on Rock Creek, and there are tremendous spots to discover along the Beartooth Loop National Recreation Trail. You clearly have to fancy the Absaroka Range. Everybody loves Silver Run Plateau; you can go for a hike on the Beartooth Highlakes Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Comfort Inn Red Lodge is a tremendous location to get some rest. The amount of rainfall that falls at Silver Run Lakes is close to the national average; May is the month that gets the most rain while February is regularly the driest month.
