The Beartooth Loop National Recreation Trail is a glorious hiking trail in close proximity to Silver Run Lakes, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at close by Lake Gertrude. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Comfort Inn Red Lodge is a delightful choice. This lake is so wonderful. Near Silver Run Lakes you stumble on the Beauty Lake Trail which is a nice       hiking trail, and dry warm beds await you at Yodeler Motel. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors exciting stuff the area close to Silver Run Lakes has to offer. If you came to camp Nelson Campground is a brilliant location to do that, and the slopes of Red Lodge Mountain are so inviting noone can resist. A normal amount of rainfall falls here at Silver Run Lakes; May is the wettest month with most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest.                  You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors exciting things the Absaroka Range has to offer. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Rosebud Creek - East, and don’t forget to visit Silver Run Plateau since you're here at Silver Run Lakes. There's so much to do here at Silver Run Lakes that you need to camp here for a while, Bots Sots Campground is a great location for that, and not far from Silver Run Lakes you'll come across Timberline Lake which is a picturesque lake. There is a glorious hiking trail right next door to Silver Run Lakes called the Beartooth Highlakes Trail, and get your heart pumping on the nice whitewater of Rock Creek. During the warmest time of the year, highs ordinarily are in the 70's at Silver Run Lakes while night lows are regularly in the 50's.
