Silver Lake is a good place to visit for more than one day, Woodbine Campground is a good place to camp nearby, and as expected, this is a tremendous vicinity for people who like lakes, Memidgi Lake is a lake close by. Nearby lakes? Sure, Brown Lake is in close proximity to Silver Lake; going for a hike along the Pilot Creek Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. The yearly rainfall       here at Silver Lake is about average; the wettest month of the year is mostly June, that's the one that rains the most while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Clarks Fork Yellowstone offers some tremendous whitewater; you can have a splendid hiking adventure along the Republic Trail. Now, you may believe that's loads but there's even more exciting things to do here in                  the Absaroka Range. And if that's not enough there's heaps more exciting stuff to do in the Absaroka Range. Super 8 Big Timber is a tremendous site to get some rest. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Silver Lake has to offer, you can camp at Colter Campground. Silver Lake in fact is in the middle of a charming outdoors paradise. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Stillwater River, and if the weather is wonderful, you can go for a hike along the Crazy Mountain Trail. At Silver Lake throughout the days of summer highs are in the 70's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's typically in the 30's.
