around here, and July is when it's the driest. Any time is a splendid time at Silver Lake if you go for the outdoors. After a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel - St. Regis is a wonderful spot to spend a night or two; Heart Lake is a
fine lake nearby. This lake is so wonderful. A good panorama of gorgeous Crittenden Peak is available from Silver Lake, and there's tremendous hiking along the Storm Peak Trail. Denna Mora Campground is a perfect campground nearby,
and St. Joe River - Skookum Canyon is a splendid whitewater spot close by. This lake is so wonderful. Silver Lake is a good place to visit for more than one day, Tin Can Flat Campground is a good place to camp nearby, and lakes are
such calm locations, why not check out Copper Lake. This lake is located in the wonderful Bitterroot Range. Burke Creek flows through this area; Silver Lake is right by the Wonderful Trail.

1935. The local ski pioneers chose Lookout Pass because of the abundant snowfall and excellent snow quality which they could access by jumping on the Northern Pacific railcars as they proceeded east from the mining towns of Wallace and Mullan, Idaho.
