Shrimp Lake gets a normal amount of yearly rainfall; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. There are other spots here than Shrimp Lake,       for example Snail Lake; Crazy Creek Campground is a nice local campground. This location, the Absaroka Range, has so much outdoors cool things. Really glorious skiing awaits you at Red Lodge Mountain; whitewater paddling is fine on Rosebud Creek - West. Planaria Lake is a delightful lake right next door to Shrimp Lake, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Copeland Lake Trail. At Shrimp Lake during the summertime months highs are in the 70's, and during                  the night it cools down to the 30's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's, and overnight lows during the wintertime for Shrimp Lake tend to be in the 0's. If only every location had this much outdoors entertaining things, what a great globe it would be. The peak of Crazy Mountain can be made out from Shrimp Lake, and brilliant hiking is available along the Crazy Mountain Trail. So many entertaining things to do in the Absaroka Range, not enough time. Shrimp Lake is a pleasant site to visit for more than one day, Lake Creek Campground is a pleasant site to camp nearby.
