     Shooting Star Lake is a nice lake to visit. Do take a look at Sedge Lake near Shooting Star Lake, it's a gorgeous lake; whitewater paddling is magnificent on Mulherin Creek. Life's too short to enjoy all the fun things in the neighborhood of Shooting Star Lake. Have a tremendous hiking adventure along the Fawn Pass Trail. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Shooting Star Lake has to offer, you can camp at Yankee Jim Campground and Picnic Area. For the  
   period of the summertime, highs frequently are in the 80's at Shooting Star Lake while nighttime lows are commonly in the 50's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the 30's, and nighttime lows in the 10's for Shooting Star Lake.
After a long day outdoors Best Western Mammoth Hot Springs is a magnificent location to spend a night or two. There's so much to do here at Shooting Star Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Carbella Campground is
 
               a delightful spot for that. On a delightful day you obtain a panorama of Sawtooth Mountain from Shooting Star Lake; get dripping wet paddling on Yellowstone River. This lake is so wonderful. A lovely lake like Crag Lake close to Shooting Star Lake is a fine site to go to, and if you need a location to stay Yellowstone Park North Travelodge is a good choice.
Take a hike on the Sportsman Lake Trail. Shooting Star Lake gets very little precipitation; May is the wettest month with most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month.
