Piquett Mountain is pretty and can be distinguished from Shelf Lake, and why not head up to Lost Trail and strap some skis to your feet. At Shelf Lake during the warm days of summer highs are in the 80's. Summer overnight lows drop down to the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Shelf Lake.       Shelf Lake is pretty dried out usually; the wettest month of the year is generally May, that's the one that rains the most while July is generally the driest month. Yep, outdoors cool stuff to do are really plentiful here at Shelf Lake. If you came to camp Boulder Creek Campground is a wonderful place to do that; you can go for a hike on the Lookout Mountain Trail. Don't leave Shelf Lake without first going for a hike along the Divide Trail, and Shelf Lake                  is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Little Boulder Bay Campground is a magnificent local campground. Shelf Lake is located in the Bitterroot Range. Yeah, come up here to the Bitterroot Range for a magnificent time.
