Spotted Bear Mountain Trail
 | 10 miles away Grueling uphill climb. Very hot in the summer. Bring lots of water. No water sources on the trail. Outstanding and beautiful 360 degree view from the top. Well worth the effort. Views of Great Bear Wilderness, Swan Range, Bob Marshal Wilderness, and Glacier National Park.... |
Spotted Bear River Trail
 | 16 miles away ... after we came through 7/29/08. Not much to see until you are near the top. Lots of water. larger creeks were still almost knee deep. No huckleberries. Plenty of biting flies and skeeters. We saw 18 mountain goats on the wall. 1 young Grizzle, 2 black bear cubs, 4 people, a few white tails, 10 mule deer on the journey. Troop 111, Sandpoint Id.

Last fall horse tracks in mud like concrete, lots of blow downs on upper 2 miles of wall creek. When cleared this would be a decent trail. I would not recommend going to my lake up wall creek, Juliet creek, to larch hill pass, one steep up hill grind. Bungalow mountain trial looks like it hasn't been traveled in years. We may st... |
