All through the summer months highs here at Sheep Lake get into the 70's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 30's. All through the winter highs are in the 20's; through the dark hours in the wintertime at Sheep Lake temperatures drop to the 0's. So many enjoyable things to do in the Absaroka Range, not enough time. Beartooth Lake Campground is a glorious local campground, and       Yodeler Motel is a perfect location to get some rest. At Sheep Lake you can observe Spirit Mountain; do stop by Glacier Lake North Dam while you're here. And if that's not sufficient, there's a lot more to do next to Sheep Lake. Why not camp at Island Lake Campground while you're here at Sheep Lake, and if you're here, you could also go to stunning Frosty Lake. This spot, the Absaroka Range, has so much outdoors enjoyable things. Hiking along the Beauty Lake                  Trail is tremendous fun, and if you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Clarks Fork Yellowstone River. Do have a look at Goat Lake near Sheep Lake, it's a picturesque lake, and the slopes of Red Lodge Mountain are so inviting noone can resist. This lake is so wonderful. Beartooth Plateau is a nice spot to check out; do take a hike on the Beartooth Highlakes Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Clay Butte Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region; no need to travel far to have a look at attention-grabbing stuff like Grasshopper Glacier. A common amount of rain falls here at Sheep Lake; the month with most of the rain is June; October on the other hand is the driest.
