If you need a spot to stay Lodge at Big Sky is a perfect choice, and skiing at Moonlight Basin is one of those things you just should do. the wintertime at Shadow Lake temperatures plunge to the 10's. Camping at Valley Garden Campground is always a brilliant experience, and there are some wonderful whitewater spots on Madison River.
South Fork Jack Creek is a pretty
stream that is worth going to; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Gallatin River. This lake is so wonderful. You're sure to run into some wonderful people from Bozeman here, and hiking along
the Lightning Creek Trail is pleasant fun.
Camping is available at Red Mountain Campground, and Shadow Lake is right by the Eldridge Trail.
