Summer night lows descend down to the 30's. Highs throughout the winter are mostly in the 20's, and throughout the dark hours in the winter at Sedge Lake temperatures plunge to the 0's. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Absaroka Range. The Crazy Lakes Trail is a perfect hiking trail next to Sedge Lake, and why not visit close by Farley Creek since you're here at Sedge Lake. This       lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Big Timber, and Rosebud Creek - West has a splendid whitewater paddling spot nearby. This lake is located in the wonderful Absaroka Range. The amount of rain that falls at Sedge Lake is close to the national average; of all the months in a year June is the one with the most rain while October is regularly the driest month. Near Sedge Lake you locate the Lake Reno Trail which is a brilliant hiking                  trail, and if you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Clarks Fork Yellowstone. Now, you may feel that's a heap but there's even more amusing stuff to do here at Sedge Lake. Not far from Sedge Lake, you'll hit upon Dollar Lake which is a lovely lake, and there is a good hiking trail close by called the Crazy Mountain Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes? Sure, Aquarius Lake is close by, and Sedge Lake is a brilliant spot to visit for more than one day, Chief Joseph Campground is a brilliant spot to camp nearby. All the outdoors entertaining things in the Absaroka Range will keep you coming back time and again.
