Secret Lakes is pretty dehydrated ordinarily; most of the rain falls during June, and the driest month of the year is February. What a place this is for outdoors folks. The Dry Fork Trail is a glorious hiking trail in the vicinity of Secret Lakes, and Freezeout Lakes is a nearby lake that you could explore. This lake is so wonderful. Everybody close by loves skiing at Big Sky, and nearby you discover the       Gazelle Creek Pack Trail which is a great hiking trail. A lake nearby is Smith Lake. Stay the night at West Fork Campground, and you can run the rapids of Madison River. The peak of Gold Butte can be spotted from Secret Lakes; a pleasant location for whitewater paddling is Madison River. Going for a hike on the Hyde Creek Trail is always a glorious adventure, and Madison Campground is a glorious campground nearby. During the long summer days here at                  Secret Lakes, high temperatures typically get into the 80's. Summer nighttime lows drop down to the 40's.
