Camping is available at Beaver Creek Campground, and a glorious spot for whitewater paddling is Flathead River - Middle Fork. This lake is located in the wonderful Lewis Range. A typical amount of precipitation falls here at Scott Lake; January is the wettest month with most snow; the driest month of the year is July. Summer at Scott Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 70's, and all through       summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's; after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Scott Lake dip into the 10's. Scott Lake in fact is in the middle of a gorgeous outdoors paradise. If you came for an overnight stay Summit Campground is a pleasant location to camp, and there are pleasant places to look at along the Miner Creek Trail. But wait, there's more fun things to do in the Lewis Range. At Scott                  Lake you can distinguish Capitol Mountain; don't leave Scott Lake without first going for a hike along the Red Plume Trail. Bore Creek is a stream that you may encounter during your stay, and there's delightful hiking along the Granite Creek Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Bear Creek is a pleasant whitewater spot close to Scott Lake; dry warm beds await you at Bridge Street Cottages.
