Scott Lake is pretty arid generally; the wettest month of the year is generally June, that's the one that rains the most while February is mostly the driest month. There is a great hiking trail next to Scott Lake called the Driveway Trail, and camping at Dinner Station Campground is always a nice experience. What a site this is for outdoors folks. You're most likely addicted to lakes, Twin Lakes is one of those       nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Blue Creek Trail is always a good adventure. Lakes are great; Pear Lake is a lake that's right next door to Scott Lake. Alturas Number One Mountain can be observed from Scott Lake, and after a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Dillon is a great place to spend a night or two. Having a great time in the Pioneer Mountains is painless. The Rhubarb Patch Trail is a brilliant hiking trail in the vicinity of                  Scott Lake; if you came to camp Grasshopper Campground is a brilliant place to do that. Scott Lake is a beautiful lake in the Pioneer Mountains. For the duration of the warm days of summer here at Scott Lake, high temperatures usually get into the 70's; the overnight is slightly chillier of course, usually in the 30's.
