East Fork Campground is a perfect campground nearby, and probably you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Hicks Lake is just a very short distance away. This lake       is so wonderful. At Sauer Lake you can spot Beaverhead Mountain, of course you could also stop by Spruce Lake if you're here; it's not far at all. If you came for an overnight stay Spillway Campground is a great spot to camp, and since you're here why not check out Cutaway Pass. Sauer Lake is typically a pretty dried up place; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful.                  Looking for some flowing water? Try Sauer Creek, and the slopes of Discovery Ski are so inviting nobody can resist. Through the summer months at Sauer Lake temperatures are usually in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 40's.
