     Sappho Lake is always a pleasure to visit. This lake is one of the great places here in the Lewis Range. Rumble Creek Lake is a nearby lake that you could take a look at; Sappho Lake is a perfect spot to visit for more than one day, Rainy Lake Campground is a perfect spot to camp nearby. At Sappho Lake through the summer highs are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 40's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 30's while  
   the cold winter nights at Sappho Lake are in the 10's.
This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Foothills Trail is great fun; Holland Lake Campground is a great campground nearby. Take a hike on the Lion Creek Trail; Bridge Street Cottages is a brilliant location to get some rest. This is no location for people who don’t like to have fun.
Having a perfect time in the Lewis Range is trouble-free. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Smith Creek
 
               Trail, and if you get bored of Sappho Lake you could also stop by close by Terrace Lakes. An average amount of rain falls at Sappho Lake; the wettest month of the year is regularly December, that's the one that snows the most; the driest month is July.
