This lake is located in the wonderful Lewis Range. At Sapphire Lake you can observe Carmine Peak, and do stop at Necklace Lakes, it's a stunning lake. During the warm months highs here at Sapphire Lake reach the 80's. Summer overnight lows plunge down to the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's while Sapphire Lake night low temperatures during the winter are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful.       Don't leave Sapphire Lake without first going for a hike along the Holland Falls National Recreation Trail, and if you came for an overnight stay Rainy Lake Campground is a brilliant place to camp. That right there is a load already, but it keeps on going; Sapphire Lake has it all. A glorious close by hotel is Bridge Street Cottages. There's delightful hiking along the Foothills Trail, and camping is available at Holland Lake Campground. Sapphire Lake gets                  a common amount of yearly rainfall; December is the month that gets the most snow; July on the other hand is the driest. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors exciting things the Lewis Range has to offer.
