Not far from Sanders Lake, you'll discover Glacier Lake which is a wonderful lake. There's so much to do here at Sanders Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Twin Campground is a glorious location for that. You can run the rapids       of Mill Creek close to Sanders Lake. All through the days of summer at Sanders Lake highs are commonly in the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 40's. Highs during the wintertime are usually in the 30's; after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Sanders Lake descend into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the BLue Mountain Nature Trail NRT is always a glorious adventure, and McLeod Peak can be observed                  from Sanders Lake. Near Sanders Lake you stumble on the Blue Mountain Equestrian and Hiking Trail which is a good hiking trail, and Grant Creek Basin is right here at Sanders Lake. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Marshall Mountain is near Sanders Lake, and folks from Missoula love to come here. Sanders Lake is regularly a pretty dried up place; through June this area sees the most rain while February is commonly the driest month. Stay the night at Cedar Campground, and if you need a place to stay Holiday Inn Express Missoula-Riverside, Mt is a delightful choice. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors fun stuff the area in the neighborhood of Sanders Lake has to offer.
