Going for a hike along the Copper Creek Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and there are other places here than Sand Lake, for example Baldy Lake. All through the days of summer here at Sand Lake, high temperatures usually get into the 70's; throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 30's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 20's; winter       nights come with lows in the 0's to Sand Lake. No way I can stop, cause I'm havin' a brilliant time here at Sand Lake. Camping at Steel Creek Campground is always a great experience. Take a hike on the Grassy Lake Trail, and a great close by hotel is Comfort Inn Dillon. Sand Lake is located in the Pioneer Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Bobcat Lakes Trail is nice fun; there's some flowing water nearby, Sand Creek is a stream you can                  stop at during your stay. Elbow Lake is a perfect lake near Sand Lake; camping is available at Fishtrap Campground.
