Do stop by Sampson Lake while you're in this part of Montana. Nearby lakes? Sure, Spencer Lake is near Sampson Lake. There's so much to do here at Sampson Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Whitefish RV Park is a brilliant spot for that. It is very dry here at Sampson Lake mostly; most of the rain falls during June, and October is when it's the driest. Any time is a wonderful time at Sampson Lake if you go for the outdoors. Don't leave Sampson Lake without first going for a hike along the Micho Trail, and if you're a golfer then a magnificent close by course is Whitefish Lake Golf Club. This spot rocks, just look at all the fun stuff to do in close proximity to Sampson Lake. arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 40's. Throughout the winter the highs are mostly in the 20's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Sampson Lake.
This lake is so wonderful. Here at Sampson Lake you can make out Lion Mountain, and you can go for a hike on the Danny on Memorial National Recreation Trail. Blacktail Mountain is a good local ski area, and a visit to nearby Bay Point
is very relaxing. There's whitewater on Stillwater River for all you adrenaline people, and Glacier National Park is a very nice place to have a look at.
If you need a location to stay Grouse Mountain Lodge is a fine choice, and
you'll perhaps meet some people from Kalispell here. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Flathead River - Middle Fork, and you can stay the night at Whitefish RV Park.
