Sampson Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. There's perfect hiking along the Danny on Memorial National Recreation Trail. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Sampson Lake has to offer, you can camp at Whitefish RV Park. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Flathead River - Middle Fork, and after a long day outdoors Lodge at Whitefish Lake is a

| | glorious location to spend a night or two. Grouse Mountain Lodge is a good place to get some rest; good skiing awaits you at Big Mountain. This lake is so wonderful. Visiting Glacier National Park is just something you need to do if you haven't yet, and Bay Point is very near and is a good place to pop by. the winter are in the 20's; overnight lows at Sampson Lake during the winter regularly dip into the 10's. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing stuff in close proximity to Sampson Lake. There's so much to do here at Sampson Lake
that you need to camp here for a while, Whitefish RV Park is a great spot for that, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always visit close by Blanchard Lake. Not far from Sampson Lake, you'll locate Lost Coon
Lake which is a wonderful lake, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Sampson Lake; Micho Trail is a pleasant local trail. Playing golf is lots of fun at Whitefish Lake Golf Club, and from Sampson Lake you acquire a good vista
of Lion Mountain. There's whitewater on Stillwater River for all you thrill seekers; there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Blacktail Mountain. You think that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. The Whitefish
Divide-Smokey Range National Recreation Trail offers hiking at its best, and at Sampson Lake you always meet someone from Kalispell. It is very waterless here at Sampson Lake generally; the month with most of the rain is June; the driest month of the year is October.
