In Montana there are many beautiful lakes, Saint Mary Lake is one of them. This lake is located in the wonderful Bitterroot Range. There's so much to do here at Saint Mary Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Larry Creek Campground is a fine site for that, and you can have a delightful hiking adventure along the Carlton Lake Trail. For the duration of the warm months here at Saint Mary Lake, high temperatures mostly get into the 80's, and the overnight is slightly

| | cooler of course, mostly in the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Saint Mary Lake.

at Saint Mary Lake, and hiking along the Sweeney Ridge Trail is perfect fun. Saint Mary Lake is right by the Saint Mary Peak Trail, and the summit of Heavenly Twins can be distinguished from Saint Mary Lake.
Now, you may think
that's a load but there's even more exciting stuff to do here in the Bitterroot Range. If you come at the right time of year, White Sand Creek offers some tremendous whitewater. You assume that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up.
Stay the night at Charles Waters Memorial Campground; after a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express Hamilton is a good place to spend a night or two. From a precipitation point of view Saint Mary Lake is a quite typical location; throughout January this area sees the most snow, and July meanwhile is the driest month.
