    If you are traveling by, why not stop by Running Crane Lake. The Lewis Range scenery is always beautiful. Running Crane Lake is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Three Forks Campground is a glorious local campground, and Katoya Lake is a glorious lake nearby. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site. Have a great hiking adventure along the Dawson Pass Trail, and dry warm beds await you at Swift Current Motor Inn.
This lake is so wonderful.
 
   The view of wonderful Bad Marriage Mountain near Running Crane Lake is perfect, and if you come at the right time of year, Flathead River - Middle Fork offers some magnificent whitewater. Running Crane Lake is pretty dehydrated typically; all through June this area sees the most rain, and February is when it's the driest.
Yep, outdoors enjoyable stuff truly is bountiful here in the Lewis Range. There's so much to do here at Running Crane Lake that you need to camp
 
               here for a while, Cut Bank Campground is a delightful site for that, and Rising Sun Motor Inn is a great place to get some rest. The warmest time of the year at Running Crane Lake comes with high temperatures in the 70's; the night is fairly colder of course, frequently in the 40's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Running Crane Lake drop into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Upper Two Medicine Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area; Glacier National Park is a wonderful national park.
There's no way someone can get bored here in the Lewis Range. Take a hike on the Cut Bank Pass Trail; get yourself into a kayak and hit Bear Creek.
