You'll need more than a day to look at everything Ruger Lake has to offer, you can camp at Sprague Creek Campground, and nearby you discover the Flattop Mountain Trail which is a great hiking trail. So many fun things next to Ruger Lake, absolutely incredible. There are some pleasant whitewater spots on Flathead River - Middle Fork. There's so much to do here at Ruger Lake       that you need to camp here for a while, Avalanche Campground is a good location for that. You truly must love the Lewis Range. Longfellow Peak is clearly visible from Ruger Lake. Throughout the months of summer at Ruger Lake highs are ordinarily in the 70's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. Highs during the wintertime are commonly in the 20's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Ruger Lake sink into the 0's. This                  lake is one of the great places here in the Lewis Range. Lake Evangeline is a nearby lake that you could go to; a splendid close by hotel is Super 8 Motel - Glacier Park/Columbia Falls. If you get bored of Ruger Lake, you could also take a look at close by Dutch Lakes, and there is a pleasant hiking trail nearby called the Camas Creek Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Glacier National Park is a very splendid location to pop by in the neighborhood of Ruger Lake, and going for a hike on the Waterton Valley Trail is always a tremendous adventure.
