Take a little trip to Fisher Creek if you're here at Round Lake, and Alp Rock is an exciting thing to catch a glimpse of if you're here. This lake is located in the wonderful Absaroka Range. That right there is a heap already, but it keeps on going; Round Lake has it all. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Stillwater River, and hiking along the Republic Trail is magnificent       fun. Having a splendid time in the Absaroka Range is painless. You're probably keen on lakes, Mud Lake is one of those close by; while you're here you can take a hike along the North Crandall Trail. The yearly precipitation here at Round Lake is about average; the month with most of the rain is June, and the driest month of the year is October. A brilliant place to camp here at Round Lake is Soda Butte Campground, and get soaked paddling on Clarks Fork Yellowstone.                  The top of Sheep Mountain is easily distinguished from Round Lake, and you can have a delightful hiking adventure along the Pilot Creek Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are fine; Companion Lake is a lake that's in close proximity to Round Lake. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors amusing things the Absaroka Range has to offer. Camping at Colter Campground is always a pleasant experience, and if you need a spot to stay Super 8 Motel Big Timber is a brilliant choice. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Round Lake. All through the moonlight hours it's generally in the 30's.
