And if that's not enough, there's a lot more to do right next door to Round Lake. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always check out nearby Dick Lake, and the sight of lovely Sheep Mountain is glorious. Alp Rock is something you shouldn't miss since you're here at Round Lake, and nearby you stumble on the Pilot Creek Trail which is a splendid hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are delightful; Companion       Lake is a lake that's right next door to Round Lake. This lake is so wonderful. A quick visit to Fisher Creek near Round Lake is a good idea, and if you come at the right time of year, Stillwater River offers some pleasant whitewater. Summertime highs at Round Lake frequently tend to be in the 70's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's generally in the 30's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and night lows through the winter for Round Lake tend                  to be in the 0's. Round Lake is a beautiful lake in the Absaroka Range. And if that's not sufficient there's heaps more amusing things to do in the Absaroka Range. If you need a location to stay Super 8 Motel Big Timber is a delightful choice, and going for a hike on the North Crandall Trail is always a fine adventure. The amount of rainfall that falls at Round Lake is close to the national average; the wettest month of the year is mostly June, that's the one that rains the most, and October on the other hand is the driest. Just can't get enough of the Absaroka Range. Camping is available at Soda Butte Campground; there is a tremendous hiking trail close by called the Republic Trail.
