    If you are traveling by, why not stop by Rose Lake. This is a tremendous area for folks who like lakes. Meadow Lake is a lake close by; gorgeous scenery and good skiing is what you obtain at Big Sky. What would winter be without some skiing at Moonlight Basin; you ought to unquestionably dedicate some time to Carrot Basin if you're here at Rose Lake. This lake is so wonderful. There is a wonderful hiking trail in close proximity to Rose Lake called the Wapiti  
   Creek Trail, and Madison River is a nice whitewater spot nearby.
Near Rose Lake you stumble on the Cutoff Trail which is a nice hiking trail, and do schedule some time to stop at Lookout Point if you have a chance. At Rose Lake during the warmest time of the year highs are in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 40's.                be in the 10's. Rose Lake gets very little precipitation; June is the wettest month with most rain, and January on the other hand is the driest.

It starts out near a small pond called Moose Lake, follows a path up some dense forest for a couple of miles, then opens up into these huge rolling meadows surrounded by Cedar Mountain, Pioneer Mountain, and Lone Mountain with a great view of Sphinx Mountain in the distance....
