Lake of the Rocks is a nice lake to visit. These mountains rock, just look at all the amusing things to do in the Bitterroot Range. The Bitterroot Range scenery is always beautiful. High temperatures at Lake of the Rocks through the warmest time of the year are in the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's, and throughout the dark hours in the winter at Lake of the Rocks temperatures

This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Rombo Creek Campground is a magnificent place to do that; of course, this is a great vicinity for people who like lakes, Chaffin Lake is a lake in the vicinity. The Old Nez Perce Indian Trail is a delightful hiking trail right next door to Lake of the Rocks. There's so much to do here at Lake of the Rocks that you need to camp here for a while, Little West Fork Campground is a glorious site | |

for that. If you want a glorious time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Bitterroot Range. One of the overriding features of the surroundings of Lake of the Rocks is Boulder Peak; glorious skiing awaits you at Lost Trail.
Going for a hike on the Castle Rock Trail is always a fine adventure; swing by Mink Creek it's a great site to stop at. Not much rainfall falls here at Lake of the Rocks; most of the rain falls through May, and July meanwhile is the
driest month. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Lake of the Rocks. Near Lake of the Rocks you stumble on the Trapper Peak Trail which is a fine hiking trail, and dry warm beds await you at Best Western Hamilton Inn.
