If you like lakes and you're in this part of Montana you can check out Lake of the Rocks. High temperatures at Lake of the Rocks throughout the long summer days are in the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's typically in the 40's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Lake of the Rocks are in the 10's. Mink Lake is a nearby lake that you could visit; the snow is great at Lost Trail. That right there is a load already, but it keeps on going; Lake of the Rocks has it all. choice. From Lake of the Rocks you obtain a wonderful view of Boulder Peak, and don't leave Lake of the Rocks without first going for a hike along the Trapper Peak Trail.
Around Lake of the Rocks you don’t get a lot of precipitation;
of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain, and the driest month is July. This lake is so wonderful. Lake of the Rocks is great enough to spend more than a day at, Little West Fork Campground is a great local campground,
and some nearby water includes Mink Creek. Just can't get enough of the Bitterroot Range. A perfect close by hotel is Trapper Creek Lodge.
