If you are in this part of Montana make sure to pay a visit to Rock Island Lake. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Rock Island Lake. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 30's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Rock Island Lake. This lake is located in the wonderful Absaroka Range. This lake is so wonderful. Farley Creek is a charming stream that is worth checking out, and going for a hike along the Lake

stay Fox Creek Campground is a nice location to camp, and after a long day outdoors Yodeler Motel is a delightful place to spend a night or two. Now, you may believe that's loads but there's even more cool stuff to do here at Rock
Island Lake. There are some good whitewater spots on Clarks Fork Yellowstone River, and hiking along the Crazy Mountain Trail is delightful fun. Rock Island Butte is easy to spot from Rock Island Lake, and Crazy Creek Campground
is a pleasant local campground. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by nearby Bugle Lake; do take a hike on the Crazy Lakes Trail. Rock Island Lake gets a typical amount of rainfall; June is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month of the year is October. This lake is so wonderful.
