All through the summer here at Rice Lake, high temperatures frequently reach the 80's; the overnight is a tad chillier of course, typically in the 40's. All through the winter this place gets highs in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Rice Lake. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors fun stuff the Lewis Range has to offer. A great location for whitewater       paddling near Rice Lake is Blackfoot River; Russell Gates Memorial Campground is a delightful local campground. Dry warm beds await you at Rodeway Inn Deer Lodge, and if you came for an overnight stay Monture Creek Campground is a tremendous place to camp. This lake is so wonderful. Shoup Lake Dam has good water scenery and it's near Rice Lake, and in the event that you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Blackfoot River                  - North Fork. Having a good time in the Lewis Range is simple. Don't leave Rice Lake without first going for a hike along the Center Ridge Trail; tremendous hiking is available along the Monture Haun Trail. This is a glorious vicinity for folks who like lakes. Shoup Lake is a lake close by, and obviously Dunham Creek flows through this region. This lake is so wonderful. So much fun stuff to do at Rice Lake, so little time. There are glorious places to discover along the Dunham Lodgepole Trail. Lakes are good; Mud Lake is a lake that's near Rice Lake. Rice Lake is one of the lakes here in the Lewis Range.
