You'll       need more than a day to explore everything Reed Lake has to offer, you can camp at Chief Joseph Campground, and hey, Fox Creek is a brilliant local stream. This lake is so wonderful. Reed Lake is right by the Pilot Creek Trail, and a perfect close by hotel is Super 8 Big Timber. Going for a hike along the North Crandall Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity; a picturesque lake like Vernon Lake is a delightful spot to stop at. You                  just can't imagine the amount of outdoors cool stuff the Absaroka Range has to offer. Hiking along the Crazy Lakes Trail is good fun, and get dripping wet paddling on Clarks Fork Yellowstone. Reed Lake is a beautiful lake in the Absaroka Range. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Reed Lake. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 30's.
