A visit to Reed Lake is always a good idea. Not much rainfall falls here at Reed Lake; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain; October is the month with the least moisture. All through the warm months at Reed Lake highs are ordinarily in the 80's while nighttime lows are commonly in the 50's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 20's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Reed Lake. Reed Lake beyond doubt is in the middle

| | of a beautiful outdoors paradise. There's wonderful hiking along the Mill Creek Trail. Lakes are great; South One Horse Lake is a lake that's near Reed Lake. If you want a good time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Bitterroot Range. If you came for an overnight stay Square Dance Center and Campground is a glorious location to camp, and the Sweeney Ridge Trail offers hiking at its best. This lake is located in the wonderful Bitterroot Range. | |

These mountains rock, just look at all the fun stuff to do in the Bitterroot Range. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Carlton Lake Trail; if you need a site to stay Super 8 Motel - Missoula/Brooks Street is a brilliant choice.
This lake is so wonderful. There are some wonderful whitewater spots on Mill Creek. This is a good neighborhood for folks who like lakes. North One Horse Lake is a lake nearby; if you come at the right time of year, Kootenai Creek
offers some good whitewater. The scenery at Duffy Lake Dam near Reed Lake is lovely; after a long day outdoors Lolo-Days Inn Missoula South/Blue Mountain is a nice location to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Why
not camp at Fort Fizzle Campground while you're here at Reed Lake, and at Reed Lake you can catch a glimpse of Lolo Peak.

Tag Alder Lake
 | 18 miles away I venture up to Tag Alder every year. It is getting more and more difficult to get up there because of the new growth of trees from the fires of 2000. Once there it is beautiful lake. Another half hour hike up and you will be at the summit of the mountain. There is a nice camp area on North shore. Fishing is best in late spring using small spinners or powerbait.... |
