This lake is one of the great places here in the Bitterroot Range. So much entertaining stuff to do in the Bitterroot Range, not enough time. If you need a spot to stay Super 8 Motel - Missoula/Brooks Street is a magnificent choice. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Reed Lake has to offer, you can camp at Fort Fizzle Campground. High temperatures at Reed Lake through the warm months are in the 80's with nighttime       lows in the 50's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 20's, and night lows throughout the winter for Reed Lake tend to be in the 10's. This spot, the Bitterroot Range, has so much outdoors cool stuff. Take a hike on the Mill Creek Trail, and Bass Lake is a wonderful lake close by. This lake is so wonderful. You simply should adore Reed Lake. After a long day outdoors Lolo-Days Inn Missoula South/Blue Mountain is a great place to spend                  a night or two, and a good place for whitewater paddling is Mill Creek. You can run the rapids of Kootenai Creek near Reed Lake. There's so much to do here at Reed Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Square Dance Center and Campground is a splendid spot for that. Do have a look at Duffy Lake Dam while you're here at Reed Lake, and you can have a great hiking adventure along the Carlton Lake Trail. Not much precipitation falls here at Reed Lake; the month with most of the rain is May, and October is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful.
