Red Lake is pretty waterless typically; during June this area sees the most rain; the driest month is February. And if that's not enough, there's loads more to do near Red Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Canyon Campground is a delightful local campground; there is a brilliant hiking trail nearby called the Gazelle Creek Pack Trail. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Red Lake. When the night sets in temperatures       sink down into the 40's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 30's, and nighttime lows at Red Lake during the wintertime generally descend into the 10's. Why not camp at Clover Meadows Campground since you're here at Red Lake; going for a hike on the Lobo Mesa Pack Trail is always a tremendous adventure. The panorama of picturesque Lazyman Hill near Red Lake is great, and on a great day you can take a hike along the Hyde Creek Trail.
